‘Are you ready for the EU GDPR?’

Heralded as one of the most significant changes to data protection law for over twenty years, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect on 25th May 2018. It will have wide reaching affects for all organisations who collect, manage, process and store personally identifiable and personal sensitive data for EU citizens – anywhere in the world. However, it does not stop there: in the UK, the government has confirmed that despite Brexit, the GDPR will be implemented and replace the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA).

Templar Executives are running a series of workshops to prepare organisations for the implementation of the GDPR in May 2018. The first, a half day workshop titled ‘Are you ready for the EU GDPR?’ will put GDPR in the context of data protection law and enable delegates to develop essential GDPR awareness and an understanding of the changes and key next steps they need to consider. The second, a full day workshop, will cover an overview of the requirements of the GDPR, the principles of the DPA 1998, the role of the ICO, the future of the GDPR after Brexit, and key next steps and guidance based on best practice and practical scenarios.

Course Length:

Half Day – 23rd May (Click here for more information)

Full Day – 9th June (Click here for more information)
